Construction Journal Entry Week of 12/4/22

12/4-6/22 I went up to Camp Serendipity for three days: Sunday through Tuesday.

This was a short week because I had a doctor's appointment on Wednesday in Seattle. I arrived at 1:15. There was six inches of new light powder snow on the ground that was not plowed. It caused me no trouble driving in and parking in the usual position. Stomping the trails was easy because of the light snow and shoveling off the concrete stairs was also pretty easy. After reaching the cabin, I went back down, hoisted the flag on the way, and brought my gear up in two trips.

The temperature outside was 12 degrees and it was only 60 degrees inside, so I built a nice fire. Then I unpacked my gear, had my lunch and a nap, and then practiced the piano for the rest of the day.

On Monday morning, the temperature outside was 10 degrees and it was 60 degrees inside again. I built a small fire, and it warmed the place up. After practicing the piano, I did a little writing and listening to the radio before having my lunch and a nap.

I spent the afternoon reading after I vacuumed the floor.

On Tuesday morning I practiced the piano and packed up to leave early. Ellen had called about a problem at home, and I wanted to get there as soon as possible. I left for home at 10:00 o'clock after watering the plant and winding the clock.
