Construction Journal Entry Week of 11/30/25

12/4-6/25 I went up to Camp Serendipity for 3 days: Thursday through Saturday. I had a doctor's appointment on Monday and the truck was in the shop until Thursday giving me a late start. It was snowing lightly at the pass and there was a little snow on the road and rain in the air.

But when I arrived at Camp Serendipity at 4:00, the rain had stopped. There was a couple inches of snow on the ground so it was time to switch to wearing my Sorel boots. I carried my gear up to the cabin in two trips, hoisting the flag between them.

I watered Tiger, practiced the piano, moved in, and had my dinner.

On Friday morning, the temperature outside was 25 degrees when I got up and it was snowing lightly. I practiced the piano, had my breakfast, and filled and staged 12 water jugs. Since I didn't want to go out and work in the bushes in such weather, I spent some time working on the puzzle.

After lunch and a nap, I walked to the grave in the rain using an umbrella. On the way, I talked to John who was just returning from an errand. When I got back, I read the news headlines that I had downloaded during my walk.

On Saturday morning, the temperature outside was 25 degrees again and it was raining. I practiced the piano and then loaded all the water jugs into the truck in three trips up and down the hill. Then I had my lunch, packed up and closed up, and left for home at 1:00. It was a short week but at least I got something done and had a good time doing it.
