Sliding the log across another log by brute force and awkwardness.

Swinging the log into gwizzing position.

The log is finally where I want it.

There is nothing but dregs down there in the log pile now. The top of the chute is visible peeking above the rock wall to the right.

This tree was felled by Earl on 10/22/98. The top was harvested for wall logs. The 55 foot butt section was ripped into planks for the porch deck during the winter of '02-'03. The ripping station for the planks was between those trees to the right. The building and the crane are barely visible between those trees.
