Log Home Pictures from 1999, Part 1 of 4

The major projects for 1999 were to finish the log walls and to get the roof covered. Here the Grid D and the Grid B purlins are in place.

The southwest gable is up to 27 courses.

The ridgepole log is dug out of the snow ready to be gwizzed and flattened.

One of my gray jay companions.

After much tribulation the ridgepole is finally in place.

The purlins and ridgepole severely restricted the movement of the crane boom making some jobs challenging. Here the B2 PSL is being raised. You can see the chain from the crane hook slanting down from the top left. It goes over the purlin and then straight down. It is fastened to the PSL which is being pulled up into place.
