2025 started off by continuing work on the stone wall project that had to wait until spring and warm weather to resume laying stones in mortar. During the winter, the scaffolding was erected, the lifting devices were installed, some stones were prepared and staged, and some more wall ties were installed.

4/16/25 Early in the year, our old truck died. We upgraded to this more modern 2021 Chev Colorado, but downgraded somewhat in size. This truck has a smaller crew cab and a much shorter bed, but it gets considerably better gas mileage. It was time for a change and we like the new truck.

4/22/25 This picture shows the rebar device that I fashioned in order to hold the short green hose so that it drips into the funnel you see as the copper circle in the picture. The rebar is held in place by that big rock at the top. The funnel is connected to a pipe that goes straight underground in order to water Paul, the sequoia tree you see at the bottom.
